Mimi and Cal are 1 month CapacityUk interns, the role, Art Photography and Content Creation for Social Media, places them behind the scenes in James’ cosy studio. They come through with their combined creative knowledge. Mimi (Mia) Sakai holds a well versed background in fashion photography having her own fashion magazine, Aether, for 8 years. You can find the Aether website below! Cal Freeman is an accomplished Video Director/Producer, even having his irreverent short film ‘Hold the Sausage’ on BBC Iplayers New Creatives section! Mimi and Cal have adapted a creative process that suit the needs and requirements of James and the studio. Synchronising existing content from his Tumblr accounts, the interns have been creating and launching content for his newly birthed social media account on Instagram. James’ large scale paintings have been professionally photographed and set up by the interns to be uploaded and engaged with by a new client base. From previous knowledge on creating content, Cal and Mimi adopt skills from Adobe applications such as Photoshop and Lightroom to expertly edit the artwork. Reviewing closely with James principal content for digital publication and social media posts.

Cal and Mimi’s effort can be clearly seen as his followers grow rapidly on Instagram, although they have only been interning for 2 weeks. I’m sure they will be missed at the studio when their time here is over, however their impact on his branding and socials will be noted by James, CapacityUk and myself. If you haven’t already, check out James on Instagram and be sure to check the incredible interns content! Happy creating!
